Born Pretty Store Review - Real Dried Flowers

*Provided for review.

Hello my lovelies. Happy Saturday, I hope you are all having a lovely day so far. I am spending my day catching up on blog stuff (it feels like I do this every Saturday at the moment, I need some more organisation in my life!).

Today I have a review of these lovely dried flowers from Born Pretty Store. They come in a pack with twelve different colours but I have just used one colour for my nails today. Each colour comes in a separate little pot so they are nice and easy to store. I have been wanting to try out dried flowers for ages, but I've never got round to actually buying any so I was pleased to give these a go.

I used a base of Barry M - Sugar Apple for these nails.

To apply my flowers I painted a layer of topcoat and pressed the flower into it whilst it was still wet. I then topped this off with another two layers of topcoat to smooth it out a bit.

You will want to use a thicker topcoat with these, they're kind of like a topcoat hungry glitter that takes a lot of topcoat to smooth out.

I was pretty pleased with these overall, though I have to admit that these were better in my head than on my naisl. Perhaps I just need a bit more practise at applying them. I love the array of colours you get in the set, so there will be a colour there for everyone and you can get plenty of manicures out of each set. However I did find that the individual flowers were too big for my nails (bare in mind I have very narrow nail beds) so I had to trim them, which caused a lot of the petals to fall off so it wasted them a bit... although they are real flowers so I don't know if a smaller variety exists lol. I also used all of the flowers in the blue pot for one hand, so I would prefer if there were a few more flowers in each pot so you could get a full ten fingers out of it (I would have to use a mixture of colours to do both hands). The dye in the flowers also stained my fingers when removing them which was a bit of a pain, so be cautious when removing these babies! But despite a few gripes, I still really liked them and they are definitely pretty and are easy to apply.

These dried flowers are available here for $4.86 (at time of writing) with free international shipping. If these don't float your boat, Born Pretty Store have hundreds of other nail art goodies to try. If you use my discount code (STAX31) you can get 10% off your order!
